The Course "Current Issues of Mass Media" Starts This September
02.09.2026
The autumn term begins with a series of online lectures for our Master’s students, presented by distinguished scholars from across the globe.
The course Current Issues of Mass Media, established in 2011, was designed to familiarize students with international research projects and recent developments in media. Over the years, it has grown into a unique academic space where global expertise becomes part of our students’ education.
This semester, the lectures will be given by Carolina Escudero (University of Missouri, Spain), Barbara Castillo-Abdul (University of Design, Innovation and Technology, Spain), Maria Soledad Ramirez-Montoya (UNESCO, National System of Researchers of Mexico), Joseph Babatunde Ayodele (Kaduna State University, Nigeria), Gifty Appiah-Adjei (University of Education, Ghana), Andrea Medrado (University of Exeter, UK), Greg Simons (Daffodil International University, Bangladesh), Uma Shankar Pandey (Surendranath College for Women, India), Levi Obonyo (Daystar University, Kenya), Louisa Ha (Bowling Green State University, USA), Jairo Lugo-Ocando, Massimo Ragnedda and Luis Romero-Rodriguez (University of Sharjah, U.A.E.).
We invite our students to take full advantage of the course that not only enriches academic knowledge, but also inspires critical reflection on media’s place in the contemporary world.
