The Second International Forum of Journalists from Russia and Africa on April 18, 4 pm MSK

18 Ap Africa forum.pngNew meeting of the Russian-African Club will be timed to the anniversary of the Memorandum on Information Cooperation between Russian and African journalists. Joint media projects, new collaborations and plans around an international contest will form the core agenda of the meeting. Organized by the Russian-African Club partnered with Faculty of Journalism and Faculty of Global Studies of Lomonosov MSU, the event will be hosted both at the Faculty of Journalism and online.

On April 18, 4 pm MSK, the Second International Forum of Journalists from Russia and Africa will be held to celebrate the anniversary of the Memorandum on Information Cooperation between Russian and African journalists. Signed last year on May 3d, the Memorandum is a beautiful venture that establishes the Association of Journalists of Russia and Africa and fosters specific cooperation strategies in media space of the two continents.

The upcoming meeting will bring together diplomats, top managers, producers, TV presenters, journalists, public figures, scientists, teachers, cultural workers of Russia and Africa, becoming a nexus for big questions and big ideas.

Participants will attempt to create a shared vision for the future and a common set of principles to guide their work in many different realms, including joint media projects and new collaborations within the Association of Russian and African Journalists. Moreover, the Club plans to put forward an exciting endeavour of an international contest for the Russian and African journalists timed to the 225th anniversary of Aleksandr Pushkin.

Organized by the Russian-African Club partnered with Faculty of Journalism and Faculty of Global Studies of Lomonosov MSU, the event will be hosted both at the Faculty of Journalism and online, allowing for the extensive geography of guest speakers willing to voice their thoughts. Russian-African club based at Lomonosov Moscow State University was established in 2022. The club aims to strengthen ties between Russia and African countries. As part of these efforts, several round table meetings were already held to build a lively and trustworthy dialogue between the two continents.
