Organized by the Faculty of Journalism and Faculty of Global Studies of Lomonosov MSU, the event will be hosted both at the Faculty of Journalism and online, allowing for the extensive geography of guest speakers willing to voice their ideas.

The meeting will first and foremost revolve around the signing of the Memorandum on information exchange between African and Russian media that will enshrine principles of transparent cooperation between the continents in the area of information circulation. A key highlight will be an establishment of Association of Russian and African Journalists aimed at orchestrating efforts to engender and solidify trustworthy Russian-African relations in the field.

This initiative will further enrich the long-standing practice of multifaceted and mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Africa, which seems particularly important given the shared goal to strike a fair balance between global powers and establish a more just and equitable system of international relations that prioritizes national identity and cultural diversity.

Decision-makers, politicians, journalists, writers, public figures, scholars, lecturers, cultural workers from Russia and Africa will gather at this multi-language event to jointly guide the efforts towards building solid cooperation strategies. Everyone willing to contribute to this important discussion are welcome to register for the upcoming meeting.

Russian-African club based at Lomonosov Moscow State University was established in 2022. The club aims to strengthen close ties and comprehensive relations between Russia and African countries. As part of these efforts, several round table meetings were already held to build a lively and trustworthy dialogue between the two continents.
