Lomonosov Moscow State University is ranked the best Russian university in the subject field ‘Communication & media studies’ according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021. The MSU holds a consistent position within the global top 150 of the QS World University Rankings. Besides, as in the previous year, it entered the top 101–150 in this particular subject field, remaining the only Russian university represented in this sector.
QS World University Rankings by Subject is calculated based on a range of objective criteria, which include the university reputation among academics and global employers, the number of research citations the university achieves per paper in that subject, etc. Faculty of Journalism is proud of its contribution to the academic excellence of the university. Professors and researchers at the Faculty of Journalism work jointly to produce scientific results of global significance, thus strengthening the position of Russian school of media research in the international academic community and ensuring the provision of the most relevant knowledge to the students.
