09.06.2019

A new bachelor program ‘Media communications’ is opened at the Faculty of Journalism, MSU. The program is aimed at preparing multimedia producers, content managers, copywriters, SMM specialists, visual communication specialists, traffic managers, site editors and videographers. These specialists will be in demand in commercial companies, government organizations, cultural industry organizations (museums, galleries, theaters, etc.), science and education structures.

The Dean of The Faculty of Journalism, correspondent member of the Russian Academy for Education, Professor Elena Vartanova pointed out that teaching media communication is based on both fundamental and practical knowledge. ‘Media communication differs from journalism and focuses more on media support of companies and institutions. It seeks to attract digital audience, create digital reputation of companies and people, and prevent digital risks in the modern society’ – she added.

The educational standard of MSU for media communications is original and is based on recent trends in both academic field and professional labor market.
