The event will take place within the framework of the European Journalism Training Association's teachers' conference. The translation was prepared by Senior Researcher Dr. Diana Kulchitskaya and published by Ad Marginem as part of a joint publishing program with Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.

About the presentation
The term "new media" came to be used in 1990. Manovich's book "The Language of New Media" (MIT Press, 2011) was recognized as the defining text about digital culture, and it continues to be used in thousands of academic programs around the world. In this presentation organized on the occasion of the book translation into Russian, Manovich will discuss the ways in which digital media of today is similar to new media of 15 years ago, and the ways in which it is different. He will also talk about what we may expect to see in the next 15 years in digital culture.
