‘Journalism In 2021: Creativity, Profession, Industry’ Conference

5 февраля_пленарное.pngOn February 3–5, the Faculty of Journalism held traditional ‘Journalism: Creativity, Profession, Industry’ conference. The academic event included a meeting of the Russian Council for Journalism Education, 2 plenary sessions, 1 English-language special panel, 29 thematic sessions, and 18 round table meetings. The speakers discussed the most acute issues of journalism studies related to the digitalization and mediatization of society, e.g. new content strategies, new methods of journalism education, business models in digital environment, new media, online reputation, digital capital, digital youth, modern media language and many other interesting problems.

Topical Seminar on The Freedom of Speech And Social Power of Photojournalism

The event was opened with a plenary session featuring talks by both Faculty scholars and their colleagues from other universities. The plenary session was completed with the awarding ceremony and followed by a range of online sessions, which featured discussions on the most burning issues of journalism.

EL.pngThe 2021 Moscow Readings conference dedicated to the topic of ‘Mediating Digital Society and Individuals: Journalism and Communication in the Times of Uncertainty’ was held on November 18–19 at the Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The conference featured two plenary sessions, 28 thematic sessions and nine special panel sessions. The academic event was supported by eight professional organizations.
