NAMMI has become association member of ICA

05.09.2013

National Association of Mass Media Researchers (NAMMI) (President - Prof. Elena Vartanova, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, MSU) has become association member of ICA.

ICA (International Communication Association) is an academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching and application of all aspects of human and mediated communication. ICA began more than 60 years ago as a small association of U.S. researchers and is now a truly international association with more than 4500 members in over 80 countries.

Faculty of Journalism, MSU, is an active member of ICA. In June 2013 Associate Professor Mikhail Makeenko and Associate Professor Andrei Vyrkovsky presented results of their research at 63 annual conference of ICA in London "Challenging Communication Research".

Status of association member of ICA allows NAMMI to propose its own panel at the annual conferences of ICA (next one is scheduled for May 2014 and will take place in Seattle, USA).
