Online media project Science Media Lab that is being created by the students of the Faculty of Journalism was ranked among the five best popular science student projects. This category was first introduced this year, and attracted almost 200 applications. The award was solemnly handed to Editor-in-Chief of Science Media Lab, Elizaveta Striga.

One of the founders of the award, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Academician Victor Sadovnichiy spoke to Science Media Lab about the importance of this event. “The award aims to emphasize that the future belongs to the fundamental science. When it was first established, it included a limited number of categories, but over the years it is increasingly expanded with new projects. We need to ensure that those, who are truly dedicated to science, receive proper recognition”.

Science Media Lab reporter Marina Benediktova noted that this kind of appreciation inspires to continue popularization efforts. “The ceremony brought together people driven by the shared passion – to promote science via a variety of formats”.

Congratulations to Science Media Lab, and wishes of successful growth and prosperity!
