Virtual Open Day for International Students on May 22

Virtual Open Day for international students featured presentations of English-language programs at the faculties, as well as general information on the specifics of admission.
Welcoming lecture by the Rector, Academician Victor Sadovnichiy was followed by a short documentary about Lomonosov Moscow State University, and an info session on the specifics of admission for foreign citizens in 2022.
Online info sessions of the faculties were next on the list. The Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, RAE Academician, Professor Elena Vartanova welcomed the future students and underlined that the Faculty offers a unique chance for aspiring journalists to develop critical competencies and become part of international scholarly community. Professor Vartanova introduced new education programs: a re-launched International Journalism Bachelor’s program and brand-new program on the theory and economics of digital media in Russia and the Asia-Pacific region run jointly with Far Eastern Federal University.
Director of the International Affairs Office and Leading Researcher at the Faculty of Journalism, Dr. Anna Gladkova presented a recently launched English-language Master’s program on Russian journalism and culture in a global context, which has already won popularity among the international students. According to the scholar, the program is unique due to its truly global nature, with students from different regions of the world coming to study Russian journalism, culture, soft power, media and communication trends, while being immersed in the multicultural setting of the Faculty of Journalism.
Dr. Svetlana Sidorova focused on the extracurricular activities of foreign students and introduced Russia-China: Dialogue of Cultures international club and its projects aimed at strengthening friendship and expanding cooperation between students of two countries.
Faculty scholars Professor Irina Surnina, Dr. Maria Anikina, Olga Lazareva, and Dr. Taras Cherevko shared the latest news about the admission procedures and answered the questions of the future students.
