Associated Professor Ferris Crane will deliver a lecture “The Digital Human: Media Consumption in the Digital Age”

Crane1.jpgOn April 10, 2015 at 12.20 (room 233) Associated Professor Ferris Crane (Robert Morris University, USA) will deliver a lecture “The Digital Human: Media Consumption in the Digital Age” within the frames of the Master degree course “Current Issues of Mass Media”.

The lecture will be in English. The lecture is open to all students, graduate students, faculty members.

About the lecturer: Ferris Crane researches the relationships between graphic design, culture and technology. She has helped to build visual frameworks in which various cultural groups can communicate about important life issues such as health and wellness, health care delivery and economic development. Research interests also include how digital technology affects perception including information gathering, aesthetic choices and academic culture. Her long term project includes still photographic documentation of how people visually design their culture, their habitats, their workplaces and their general survival after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, a post-disaster city.
