Russian Council for Journalism Education

Russian Council for Journalism Education (UMS) is a part of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association (FUMO) for an enlarged group of education Mass Media and Library Studies. Its activities include design of educational standards for journalism education, development of templates for educational programs, model curricula and teaching methods construction, organization of ‘train the trainer’ seminars, discussions and conferences; expertize of textbooks and teaching materials.

At present, UMS unites 150 universities that educate future journalists
